The Stench of Success

Households of neglected children, shuffled between emotionally unstable egomaniac parents. This is what many nations resemble. Not to worry, though—it’s “character building,” they say. Must be true, since highly unempathetic individuals always seem to win the empathy of others. Trauma really does bond.

It’s hard to see through the political faux-charm and diplomatic cruelty. The love-bombing is especially hard to resist. After all, nothing says I love you quite like actual bombs and a little light control.

What would become of this world without one corrupt politician taking down another, only to be replaced by the next? Chaos, surely. Or worse—clarity.

Thank god for sellout lobbyists and compliant media, and for the tireless billionaires who so generously set the example, showing us the way forward. Just follow their lead. The top 0.1% most certainly want the remaining 99.9% to be just like them, and anyone who says otherwise is simply a fool.

So let power grind on, and let people be ground beneath it. The rot will continue to spread in plain sight, because most mistake the stench for the smell of success.
